The purpose of the private guided PARIS DISCOVERY TOUR + ORSAY MUSEUM is to give you an overview of all the most spectacular and renowned monuments and historical sites of the city (it will help you to get your marks and make your plans for the next days) and introduce you to the largest collection of Impressionist paintings in the world.
Your private, licensed driver-guide will pick you up at your hotel in a very comfortable, air-conditioned Mercedes minivan (or similar).
After a brief introduction to the architecture of Paris so that you may better appreciate the beauty of the city, you will start your journey at the geographical center of Paris, the Opera Garnier (that inspired the “Phantom of the Opera”), then drive to place Vendôme (a jewel of architecture from the 17thC), the Palais Royal (former Cardinal’s palace) before stopping at the Musee d’Orsay where you will have with your guide a private guided visit (you will avoid all the lines). The museum holds mainly French Art dating from 1848 to 1915, including paintings, sculptures, furniture and photography.  It is best known for its extensive collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces (the largest in the world) by such painters as Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir, Cezanne, Sisley, Seurat, Berthe Morisot, Toulouse Lautrec, Gauguin and Van Gogh. The normal duration of the visit is about 2h-2h30.
